We started 73 Labs
to level the field. The tools existed. The price was the problem.
The largest home service operators in every metro built their marketing and their software in-house, on payroll. Everyone else got offered a substitute, so we built the real thing once, as a platform, and priced it for the independent shop.
Where this started.
Two shops, the same homeowners, and a gap that has nothing to do with the work.
The biggest operator in your metro has a web team on call, a paid-search specialist, call tracking on every campaign, someone at the desk for every call, someone who asks for the review, and someone watching what the AI answers say about the business. None of that is magic. It is payroll.
The independent shop gets offered a stand-in: a template site it does not own, a long contract, and a report that cannot say where a single call came from. So we built it the other way around. One platform, built once and run for every business on it, doing the work the big operator keeps on salary.
That is why the platform starts at $497 a month instead of a salary.
Three principles.
Platform, not agency
We build infrastructure you own. Not a retainer you’re stuck with.
Built for the trades
We know HVAC margins, plumbing seasonality, and how homeowners search.
Month to month, on purpose
No long contract. If the work is good you stay. If it is not, you leave.
How we work.
Six things we refuse to do.
Each one is built into how we bill and how we build, not a promise on a poster.
We will not lock you in.
We will not mark up your ad spend.
We will not report a number we cannot show you.
We will not sell you the bigger plan by default.
We will not promise a ranking.
We will not pretend to be bigger than we are.
Why 73.
We wanted a name that holds up whichever way you turn it.

We are aware that only we find this interesting. It is still how we like things to work: check it from any side and it holds.
Where we are, and how to reach us.
A small team in Atlanta that builds for home service businesses anywhere in the United States, and writes down what it learns.
Atlanta, Georgia. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and the rest of the trades we build for. We know what a mild October does to an HVAC schedule.
What is working in local search and AI search right now, in enough detail that you could do some of it yourself.
