Facebook AI Mode: Keep Public Business Information Accurate
Meta announced Facebook AI Mode on June 15, 2026. The company describes a search experience that uses Meta AI to answer questions using information people share publicly across its apps, including Groups and Reels.
That announcement establishes the feature. It does not publish a contractor-ranking formula or promise that completing a Page will produce recommendations. Check what is available in your account and market before assuming every customer sees the same experience.
Review the information customers can see
Inspect your business Page's public view. Where the relevant fields are available, verify the business description, services, coverage, hours, website and contact information. Correct stale details and confirm that displayed contact options work.
Describe your actual operations. A staffed phone line, a same-day appointment and emergency technician availability are different commitments. Do not copy sample claims about licensing, response times or energy savings unless they are true and supported for your business.
Publish useful updates without chasing a quota
Share information when you have something relevant to explain: a verified change in availability, an answer to a customer question or a project you have permission to discuss. Include enough context for readers to understand what happened.
Do not treat a fixed number of monthly posts or recent reviews as an established AI Mode eligibility requirement. Avoid manufacturing activity or asking customers to insert particular service names, locations or outcomes to influence an AI answer.
Public content can still be inaccurate or incomplete. A customer's account of a past job does not establish your current prices, credentials or availability.
Check observed answers and their support
If you review an AI Mode response about your business, record the question, date, location context and the sources or posts shown. Separate your own Page information from comments made by other people.
Check whether a recommendation accurately describes the business and the requested service. Correct information you control and keep a record of errors elsewhere. One answer is a sample, not proof of how the platform ranks all contractors.
Keep contact setup and measurement separate
Choose customer contact channels based on your team's ability to respond. Verify their current setup requirements and actual public behavior. Do not assume linking a messaging account guarantees a button in an AI recommendation.
Track real messages, website visits and inquiries separately from observed mentions. Use those results to assess the work, rather than attributing every new lead to AI Mode or promising a fixed time before visibility improves.
